Motor Vehicle Defects Non-Compliance Database
   Overview
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) conducts testing, inspection, and investigation to ensure compliance by foreign and domestic vehicle and equipment manufacturers with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. The Office of Vehicle Safety Compliance selects the vehicles that will be tested and supervises this activity. The compliance database contains test results from 1994 to the present.

Available data include pass/fail according to U.S. safety standards by vehicle, year, make, model and safety feature.
